SYNOPSIS

This updated adaptation of Singaporean playwright, Jean Tay’s 2007 stage play is a poignant tribute to the disappearing heritage sites of Singapore, beautifully captured in the film’s charming and bittersweet visuals.

The film follows the story of an elderly mother battling to preserve her home and community as residents are coerced into a collective housing block sale and the ensuing conflict with her son who desires a fresh start.
